PICISI.com - a new crowdfunding site crowdfunding for site upgrades.
PICISI was designed to be a crowdfunding site that would allow organizers to raise funds in both fiat (USD, GBP, CAD, etc ... ) and cryptocurrency (BTC, EMC2, HYPER, etc ...), another major part of the design is sponsorship opportunities sitewide including but not limited to: home page margin placement for the top ten sponsors, host CC sponsor, perk sponsor, campaign text sponsor, video sponsor, and many other sponsorship options.
Manual management of sponsorship options is tough for a single campaign, impractical for a handful of campaigns, and impossible for any admins to carry out for a whole crowdfunding site, as such an automated system must be installed.
Here are some other target site features we hope to include:
1) stripe currently handles fiat and bitcoin which is good, however we need many more cryptocurrency to be supported.
2) automatic placement of sponsor messages authorized by organizer
3) a sponsor page to list all of the PICISI sponsors, advertisers, and endorsers.
4) a promotion contractor page to list all of the promotion contractors and their respective areas of concentration.

Retro VGS Crowdfunding Campaign "Dead In The Water" But Work Will Continue
Posted by Damien McFerran
"The good news is we aren’t giving up"
Remember the Retro VGS we reported on last week? It was supposed to be a throwback to the good old days of cartridges, and was up on crowdfunding site Indiegogo with a target goal of $2 million.
Sadly, the campaign wasn't exactly a success - only $61,755 had been raised in 11 days - and has this forced the team behind the console to cancel the venture entirely. The good news is that the system isn't totally dead, and will return to crowdfunding in the future.

Crowdfunding boost for £4m Inver Park plan
Plans for a major redevelopment at Inver Park could still be on the cards, after Larne FC was thrown a potential funding lifeline.
In last week’s Larne Times, we reported that the future of the Championship One club could be in jeopardy unless it secures funding for a planned £4m upgrade of its stadium.
The redevelopment would see a 3g pitch laid at the ground, as well as the creation of a new all-weather training facility covered by a dome, and a new 1,100 seater stand.
It had been hoped that funding could be secured from the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, as part of a £36m pot set aside for football stadium development.

SA’s Bankymoon launches bitcoin crowdfunding platform for African schools
South African startup Bankymoon has launched a crowdfunding platform that allows public schools in Africa to use blockchain technology to gain electricity credits.
Disrupt Africa reported in May on Bankymoon, a bitcoin integration startup that primarily focuses on providing bitcoin payment gateways to smart metering vendors, allowing the vendors to accept bitcoin payments for utilities.
The startup has now extended this idea, applying blockchain tech to create a crowdfunding platform named Usizo for schools in Africa. Schools are supplied with a Bankymoon meter with an assigned bitcoin address, to which donors are able to send funds that are immediately converted into electricity or water credits.
Donors are able to view information about students, teachers, infrastructure, focus and estimates of utility usage at certain schools, and make decisions as to who to donate bitcoin to.
